Normal Heights Sober Living Manager - Paul King
Hello, my name is Paul King. I am a recovering alcoholic. It took me 20 years in and out of recovery to finally figure out my path to successfully maintaining my sobriety. First, I left my home and 26 year job in Michigan and enrolled in a Residential Treatment program in San Diego. After I left that facility, the key for me was immediately enrolling in an Intensive Outpatient Program and at the same time finding a good Sober Living House. I am also an active participant and strongly believe in the power of 12 step programs. If I had not made these tough decisions to change my life, I am sure I would not be here to tell you my story.
I fell in love with the San Diego Recovery community. In the past year I have gone from managing a 12 bed sober living house to now managing Normal Heights Sober Living, a 25 bed facility. I am currently renewing my RADT credential and I am attending a program to become a CADC-1. In the past two years I have worked for two residential treatment centers and I am currently working as a tech for San Diego Treatment and Recovery Center, an Intensive Outpatient Program located near San Diego State University.
I am also proud to be a US Navy Gulf War Veteran. If you want a safe, sober and stable environment to live in come check us out see what we have to offer. Living in a sober living environment early in my recovery has truly and honestly saved my life.
